About River Bridges

Encompassing the NJ and PA communities surrounding the Frenchtown/Uhlerstown and Upper Black Eddy/Milford bridges, RiverTown Bridges is bringing neighbors together to strengthen community and connection and to create a sharing collective.

Our goal is to rebuild the person-to-person marketplace and human-centered communities that have sparked true wealth and commerce throughout history by fostering a network of neighbors supporting neighbors through sharing both physical and intangible, human-capital resources. We do not need to reinvent the wheel, we need only follow the blueprints of those who came before us, aided by the technologies available to us in our modern day.

The RiverTown Bridges sharing cooperative will allow us to share physical items throughout the community by creating lending libraries and a public online inventory, as well as by hosting online and in-person gifting groups where items can be requested or gifted to others. 

Sharing our intangible resources, such as common interests, knowledge, skills, and time together, is a vital, possibly even more valuable piece of creating and strengthening this community. These personal resources are supported and strengthened through the power of gathering face-to-face with our neighbors, such as sharing a meal, participating in an activity, workshop, or educational opportunity, or sharing time together one-on-one.
