Thanksgiving Potluck & Holiday Free Gifting Bazaar
Everyone is invited to join us on Thursday, November 19th for our Community Thanksgiving Potluck and Holiday Free Gifting Bazaar!
For this special event, we will be partnering with the local Buy Nothing group to share our thanks, enjoy some delicious Thanksgiving fare, and share our resources through a Holiday Free Gifting Bazaar!

One of our goals in River Bridges is to create a group where we can share our local resources. To work towards, this goal, we have the pleasure of partnering with our local Buy Nothing group, who has hosted a gifting economy of neighbors supporting neighbors over the past 5 years.
Together, our two groups will host a Holiday Free Gifting event, where everyone is welcome to share like-new items with one another in the hopes that something that no longer serves one person may end up as a meaningful gift for someone else!
What does this Free Gifting Bazzar look like?
We will set up a few tables at the Thanksgiving Potluck that will act as our Holiday Free Gifting Bazzar space. If you have any like-new items around your house that you would like to pass along and could be a nice gift for someone (child or adult), please bring them (unwrapped) to the event to share them with your neighbors! After we eat, we will have Gift Sharing time, and folks will be welcome to browse the bazaar to see if there are any items that they would like to take home to gift to their friends and family.
There is not a swap event, and it is not necessary to bring any items in order to take gifts home. As we work towards creating a sharing collective, we support the concepts of "share freely" and "share from your own abundance," so giving in order to receive is not a requirement.
